What is a Medication Aide?
A Medication Aide is an important part of the healthcare team, helping safely administer medications under proper supervision in care settings such as nursing homes and assisted living communities. This role is a great next step for individuals who want to expand their skills and continue growing in the healthcare field.
⭐ Hybrid Program Overview
This is a self-paced hybrid course, and students have 45 days from the date of enrollment to complete the program.
Online Portion:

Complete the theory-based coursework online at your own pace

Follow along with assignments and course materials

Use the required Hartman textbook and workbook throughout the course
In-Person Portion:

In-person sessions are held for two weeks Tuesday and Thursday @7pm

Students will attend approximately 4–5 in-person class days for lecture review and hands-on skills training
Final Class Day:

The final class includes the final exam and skills check-off in person

Then you have to attend a skills check off a local nursing home or assisted living facility. Hopefully your job will allow you to be checked off !

After successfully completing the skills check-off, students may contact Admin, Ms. Stephanie, to schedule the state certification test
State Test Information:

The state test is completed on a computer in front of the RN.

There is a $25 testing fee, due on the day of testing

You must be in good standing and ACTIVE under the Georgia Nurse Aide (Certified Nursing Assistant) requirements

- Students must order and have their book and workbook by Day 1 of class from Hartmans Publishing or Amazon. THIS IS A BRAND NEW BOOK AND WORKBOOK
There is no payment fee for this class because you have two options for payment before class begins.
- Pay the $400 including the $50.00 application fee
- Pay the $300.00 down and the $150.00 you must be paid before class begins, if class balance is not paid the week BEFORE class begins, you will be put on the next class roster.
There are ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS, unless the school cancels the class.
You must complete assignments on the portal ( link will be sent as soon as payment is made) BALANCE MUST BE PAID BEFORE CLASS BEGINS.
You must attend both of the in person sessions.
